Akeredolu (aka Susan Henderson) had received a landed property from one Rose Kirkley, an American citizen, pretending to be a nurse with a special skill to treat the Ebola virus.
He, however, refused to disclose the possession of the said property when he was being interrogated by EFCC operatives.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, Oyo State declared him guilty of failure to comply with a lawful enquiry as he refused to “disclose receipts of properties obtained under false pretences” on Friday and sentenced him to eight months in prison.
The offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 38 (1) and (2) (b) of EFCC Establishment Act, 2004.
The court has ordered him to refund the sum of $6,000 (Six Thousand United States Dollars) he confessed to have received from two of his victims – Kirkley and one Mr. Scott.
He will also forfeit to the Federal Government of Nigeria iPhone 8, Nokia torchlight phone, Tecno T360 and one HP Laptop recovered from him
